    external reference to show formula

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I have several workbooks that have formulas in them, and I need to show the values of them. Now I want to have another workbook that shows the formulas of these workbooks. I tried to just show formulas on the second workbook, but then I just get the
Sheet1'!$A$1, but I want it to show the actual formula from the first workbook. Is there any way of doing this without having to redo the formulas in the second workbook?

It sounds like your trying to do this using Formulas. If you want to copy the cell Formula into another workbook as text, the only way I know of to do this is with VBA. Let me know if you want a macro to do this.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Ctrl+~ toggles between showing formulas and their results.
