Cross reference

I am fairly new to Excel.

I think what i want to do should be simple.

I have 2 spreadsheets about pateint data. one includes certain pateints (A) and one contains patients who have had a certain type of procedure (B). Both have a row containing the hospital number. If the patients in B appear in A, I want to extract all the other data from B into a third spreadsheet.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Difficult due to confidentiality.

Basically I need to know which patients from spreadsheet B are also in spreadsheet A and the one field that is in both sheets is the hospital number.

It wont be that many beacuase sheet B only has about 80 patients (sheet A has over a thousand) so when I have identified them I can manually extract the data if its easier - Its just the cross referencing that I want to do most.
