    Conditional formatting - Making value equal to cell color to hide it

    Hi
    I would like to hide the value in the cell when I using conditionla formatting or at least make it the same color of the cell color (so will be hide)

    Really appreciate help

    You can make the font the same color as the cell.
    Tough to give you an example since you didn't say what your conditions would be.

    From the conditional Format dialog window click on Format->Font ->Color -> white (assuming your cells are white or colorless.

    hi thanks for the response,
    the thing is as follow; I have a group of cell with formulas that generate random numbers. the condition that I set with the excel 2007 conditional formatting option was:

    Format all cells based of their value.
    format style Three colors scale
    low value=blue
    medium 50%=yellow
    high value: red

    the thing is tha the cell are coloured perfect, but the random number is shown in black and I do not know how to hide.

    I do not have 2007 but if the conditional formatting window (from the format dropdown) is the same as previous versions, there's a tab for "patterns" where you are setting the cell color and another tab for "font" where you can set the color of the font.
