Freezing a column and a row

    Hello,
I searched and read the previous threads but still can not get my freezing to work the way I'd like.

I want to freeze rows 1 & 2 and that works. But I also want to freeze Columns O and onwards past P. So freeze O,P, R, S, T, etc. along with Rows 1 & 2. Sort of creating a a bow where the top and right are not moving and everything inside the box is moving. Does this make sense?

    Thank you
    The Muffin Man

Freeze doesn't work that way unfortunately. You could freeze row 1&2 and everything to the left of a column, but not to the right.

    Hi Darkwood,
    Thanks.
So even if I am trying to freeze to the left of a group columns technically I am trying to freeze to the right of the other side, which will not work. Correct?

This is what I am trying to do, I'll show it via ascii just to be sure my grammar was capturing it correctly.

    X = freeze areas
O = area that will no be frozen

    ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
    Row 1 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 2 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 3 OOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 4 OOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 5 OOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 6 OOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 7 OOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Row 8 OOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX

    Thank you
