    Changing the Column and Row header color in excel

    Hi,
    I wanted to know how to change the default column and row header color to be changed?

    For Example if I select the cell number C5,then C is selected in the column header and 5 is selected in thr row header with a specific color.I wanted to know how to change the default color for this header selection.Please do help.

    Sriram, Welcome to Excel Forum!, you will have to give a little more information as your post makes very little sense....do you have column headers with both letters and figures in them?

    I am not sure what you are trying to do so if you could attach a worksheet with how you would want it to look maybe we can help further!

    Hi,
    In the Excel jpg file that is present,the B1 column and row headers are highlighted with blue color.Can u please tell me how to change the color from blue to a different color?

    Sriram, the colour you see is excel's natural highlighter and doesn't have a colour change property, the only way you would be able to change it is through display properties, in the appearance tab, in the advanced settings.

    Can u tell me how to access that advanced setting and display properties?where are these options located?

    Right click on your desktop shoose properties, appearance, advanced, selected items choose a colour and apply it (be aware it changes all windows settings for selected items!)
