    Thanks that did the trick.

    But I have another problem now, for some reason excel refuses to include the data that is getting with the vlookup into a formula that I have that averages all the values including the ones that vlookup is getting.

    This is the formula that I am using =AVERAGE(B2:B3)

    B2 has the vlookup formula with the data that it found and B3 has data that I inputed myself. But for some reason excel is not including the data in B2 into the average.

    It could be the numbers are being recognized as text. Try multiplying the Vlookup formula's by one. Example:
    =VLOOKUP(Sheet2!$A1,Sheet1!$A:$D,2,FALSE)*1
