    Sorting on the last number

    Hi

I have a lot of data named like this:

    "FIX 001"
    "FLT 001"
    "FIX 002"
    "FLT 002"
    "FIX 003"
    "FLT 003"
    ....

    etc

I just cant seem to find a way to sort the data like above. What I would like is the able to sort "from the back" if you understand what i mean.. Is there a way to do this? Because now I have all my FIX data sorted first and the the FLT data.. and I want to see them together..!

    Kind regards

    Linda

You could possibly use a helper column that extracts the numbers only. Then you can sort by that column....

If your original data is in column A, then enter formula in an adjacent column: =Right(A1,3) where A1 is the first piece of data and copy down

    Then sort by that column.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
