    Font question

I want to have my data show up on my file/report so that everything lines up exactly as it is types. In other words, numbers and letters and spaces all take up the same space so i can see how to parse it when splitting it up into multiple cells. Which font would work best for that?

    Thanks.

    Hi bullwinkle,

At normal 100% zoom there are several fonts that space each character the same - Arial Monospaced, Courier, Courier New, etc.

But if you zoom to other levels (say 75%, 115%, etc.) those fonts don't hold their even spacing. The only font I've seen, at least on my PC, that will hold spacing is called Terminal.

Hi - I agree with Paul and personally like using "Courier New" as it's a "true type" font where every character (including the space) is the same size ... As Paul share, your "mileage may vary" as you try to zoom from a 100% viewing scale.
