    Variable Chart Title

    Is there a possibility to incorporate a cell reference into a chart's title so that the title changes with the cell content?

    Yes but it is limited (as far as I am aware):

    1. Create your chart
    2. Click on the chart title once it has been created and then type your cell reference into the formula bar ie:

    =Sheet1!A1

    Then the chart title will be linked to A1. You can't use multiple cell references (so no =A1&A2, for example), so if you want to build up a title from multiple cells, you need to reference that compound title from another cell eg

    B1, C1 and D1 contain the elements of the title. You use the following formula in A1:

    =B1 & " " & C1 & " " & D1

    and then reference the chart title to A1.

    Yes...

    Yes.

    Enter a temporary title then select that title as if to edit it,
    but instead of editing it in situ, type = into the insert function dialogue box
    (the dialogue box beside the fx icon)
    then select the required cell from the spread-sheet.
