create a drop down list without using a table

    Hi,

I have attached a sheet that I'm trying to put some code into. The first tab has a cell (D3) where I have placed a drop down list. Is there a way that I can design a macro to do the same thing? I'm looking to get rid of the second tab that contains the list. I have tried various bits of code and I can't get it work. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much in advance for your help.

    Eddie.

You don't need VBA if your list is only two options.

In data validation under list replace the Name range with

    Short,Over

Then you can delete the other sheet
