Look up, match then copy from 6 colmns

    Hi again!

I've been having a lot of fun adapting a formula given to me on here that will look up, match and copy one cell across, but now I need to do the same with 6 cells in a row

Basically I have a worksheet called Europe which needs to stay the same and also have the data split into countries and rather than copying and pasting I'd love to have the data hop in all by itself!

So in the France tab I would like to have some formula(e) that look at the Europe tab and if there any reports that begin with FF the corresponding data from columns A:F inclusive will feed into columns A:F on the France tab

Hope I have explained it okay, attached is a simplified workbook with the relevant columns, rows and some dummy data

    Many, many thanks in advance

Try this formula in A2 of France sheet.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
adjust range to ensure the whole table in Europe is covered...then confirm the formula with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER, not just ENTER...you'll see { } brackets appear around the formula. Note where the $ signs appear.

Then copy the formula down as far as you want to ensure all data is extracted and copy across to column F.

Note: The more data you have the slower the spreadsheet will recalculate.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Thumbs up

Wow! Thank you so much, there is no way I could have come up with that!

And having had a quick play with it I even understand some of some parts of it!

Have succesfully adapted it for another spreadsheet that needed something very similar, so hopefully after a few more goes I will understand most of it soon!

    Thanks again
