    Lookup question

Hey. Attached is the spreadsheet I am working with. There's a lot of stuff going on it, but I'm only looking at the tabs labeled "Purchase Orders" and "Inventory and Locations."

    Some background information:
My company buys lots of items from different vendors, and we make purchase orders on each purchase. All purchase order numbers start with BESS-000 and then a three digit number to complete it (like this BESS-000123).

On the Purchase Orders tab, I'd like to be able to have my people type in the last three digits to any purchase order, and it will pull up all the items and quantities that are on the order. All of the information is in the "Inventory and Locations" tab, I'm just having trouble referencing that data over to the "Purchase Orders" tab. I have highlighted in yellow the two spots I'm having trouble with. Hopefully someone can help me!

    Thanks!

Have a look at the attached file.

I've had to put some workings in the range F24:I54. If this is going to really interfere with things, it could be moved somewhere else.

awesome man, thanks. I tried to insert a few rows in order to move the Open Purchase Orders part down the page a little, but it messed up your formula. Do you know what I can modify to insert 8 rows or so without messing it up?

    Thanks

    Hi

8 rows where? How about you insert your rows and attach the modified file, and point out where you have added the rows, and where the formulas are now not working.
