    cell referencing

I'm sure there's an easy solution to my problem, but I'm not an Excel expert--I'm only using it for this one purpose. I am having problems copying a formula to additional cells in a column. I know how to "fill" but here is my problem. My formula is something like this:
    =a32*c30
But when I fill it downwards, it yields:
    =a33*c31
I want it to maintain c30, but continue with a33, a34, a35 etc like this:
    =a33*c30
    =a34*c30
    =a35*c30

    Can anyone help me please?

    Instead of C30, use $C$30

The $'s make the column and row reference static. $C30, C$30, C30 and $C$30 are the options for cell referencing.
