    Recalculations while sorting

I have this data set, and every time I try to sort this column of interpolation functions the data recalculates with new numbers. I have even tried to copy and paste the values to another column and sort by that one, but that still recalculates. Is there any way to make the calculations remain the same even after I sort.

    Hi,

When you sort are you just sorting the one column or your whole data set. It sounds like the former, if so try the latter.

I guess that your problem stems from the way the cells are addressed in your interpolation formula.
There are probably ways and means to change the addressing to avoid this,
but without knowing your particular application it is hard to suggest the best way.

However, copying and pasting should provide a solution IF you use PASTE SPECIAL.

From the toolbar select Edit then Paste Special...
    then select the Values option.

    Mark.
