Excel 2007 - Worsheet names not visible

When I open some of my old files in Excel 2007, the worksheet names are not visible and I can't move around in the file. Causing me a bit of grief! Does anyone know how I can fix this?

(Apologies if this has already been discussed - I did a search but couldn't find anything)

Go to the tools menu, options, view tab. Look at the bottom right and see if you have unchecked sheet tabs.

Even without the tabs you can change sheets by using ctrl+pgup and pgdn.

Conor, thank you for your post - unfortunately that is not the problem as sheets tabs is ticked.

This is in docs which were created in aother version of Excel, ie if I just open a new file, the tabs are there.

What else can I try?
