    A maybe impossible task

    All,

I am doing soem research and lead generation and want to start building up a spreadsheet from a web page. After filtering, i may have perhaps a few hundred pages that i wish to capture into a spreadsheet. Do you guys know of any easy way to grab what is on screen (all pages have the same format) and be able to send that or convert it to excel? Its not all tables, its text and some monetary information with subheadings etc. I just want to build up a database of this stuff and do you think i am going about it in the right way

    Cheers,

Did you try the web query function?

Paired with a little bit of VBA code you might achieve your target but you have to provide some more details about the webpage contents and how the database should eventually look like.

Hi, I have attached a screenshot of the webpage information i wish to capture and utilise. Some entries have more information than others (e.g. email and web addresses) but essentially they are all in the same format. I also attach a basic blank sheet of how i would like the data (or similar) I did try the import data from web facility but it didnt really capture the bits i needed nor did i really know what i was doing with it. If that helps with what i am trying to do then great.

    Cheers in advance

    Hi,

I had a look at the relevant web pages. Unfortunately, the web querys do not work here as the webpages are in a non compatible format.

Sorry, that I'm not able to help.

It's off topic, but you also could try to contact the website owners and ask them for the relevant list. They obviously have a database and maybe they are willing to help you.

    Cheers,
