pure curiosity: what do you keep in the "Personal.xls"

Myself, I keep very few macros in this "Personal.xls" file:

    - a macro that colors numbers, formulas and text in different colors and toggles the gridlines
    - a macro that lists project references
    - a macro that resets the drop-downs of pivot tables
    - a macro that takes a picture of an excel sheet (a copy without formulas)

I am very happy with these few thing, but I am very curious about what other people are doing.

What nice stuff are you hiding in "Personal.xls" ?

    Thanks

I probably keep the same things as you, but I then make up a customised toolbar and link those macro's to my own icons, so that they are always available

I've got a couple in there....

    - a simple macro that just deletes blank rows....I am sure there are utilities out there that include that one......

    - a macro that converts a BOM exported from our ERP system into a Request to Manufacture....which is basically a consolidated list of required parts that is grouped in sections for manufactured parts and purchased parts. This tool used the Subtotal feature so that one can expand and contract the subgroups to view details.

    - a macro that formats a purchased item list, highlighting and/or bolding specific lines/items based on different conditions. It also does some specific calculations to enhance the document.

    - a macro that helps compare a project list to the actual BOMs used in the list. This is to determine if items changed in BOMs have been updated in the project work orders.

    etc..

I created my own Excel Menu containing these important macros....
Where there is a will there are many ways.
