Conditional Format- Blank cell with formula problem

    Hi all,

I'm having trouble with a conditional format. I'd like a particular cell to turn red if another cell on the same sheet (sheet 1) is blank. Problem is, the cell I'm referring too (II2) is a formula looking on another sheet. Even though the cell has pulled a blank from sheet2, it still contains the formula and the Conditional Format doesn't seem to like this.

I can't remove this formula so can I make the Conditional Format ignore it and just check the cell?

    Cheers

    Hi
What formula you use in CF?

    =ISBLANK(II2)

I've tried it on a seperate sheet and it works ok but when used on a Blank cell containing a formula, it doesn't.

I've also noticed that even if I copy>paste values it doesn't recognise it as a blank. You have to then delete the empty cell to make the Conditional Format function... weird?
