hyperlinking object files

Good Day all!

Here is my situation. I am having troubles getting a hyperlinked object to be copied from one worksheet page to another. I can get the object to come over like a picture would, but the hyperlink to the file does not.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to why?

If your manually copying the objects, you shouldn't being having problems. The Hyperlink is part of the Shape Object. If you are doing it by code, can you post the code you are using?

I am actually doing it through a formula. What I have is a drop down menu, and when I select a particluar part #, I want a icon of a file to appear, and when you click on it, it opens that file.

I thought I could do it simialar to that of a picture, where it you use the indirect function in a defined cell. The icon will come over, but the hyerlink attached to it, will not.

Worksheet Formula aren't designed to do what you want to do here. You really the a VBA macro to handles this effectively. Can you post your workbook?
