Pivottable columns multiply in excel 2007

Any Excel 2007 experts out there?

I have a pivottable that worked just fine in Excel 2003, but Excel 2007 doesn't handle correctly.
I grouped a few items in the column area, but when a hide details/collapse the group, Excel 2007 still leaves it in multiple columns, with up to 1 column for each row in the table.
