excel name in taskbar

hi...

i have excel file let say file.xls and when i double click it..the name appear in taskbar is Microsoft Excel - file.xls and not just file.xls

how can i change it so i know exactly where is the file is i open many excel files?

Hi

Right click on the blank area of task bar, click Properties and check the option "Group similar taskbar buttons".
It will group all Excel files into on task bar button and when you will click on that task bar button it will open a list of opened Excel files and you could then easily identify the file you want to open.

Hope this would serve your purpose.

ahh....

just forget it, when i click another excel files then it suddenly change to file.xls without microsoft excel in front of it.

I think there is connection with macros because today i just starting to use some macros in my file, maybe..dunno
