    Worksheet Tabs Sorting

If my workbook has sheet names titled from a-z, but they are out of order is it possible to order the workbook? If so, how? I don't want to click and drag each sheet individually.

    Good evening eanderson

If you fancy having a go of it yourself, then Chip Pearson lists the code for you here :
    http://www.cpearson.com/excel/sortws.htm

Alternatively, if you fancy a more ready made solution, download and install my add-in via the link below and once installed go to Ultimate > Sheets > Sort Sheets. You can sort backwards, forwards, strictly numerical, or manually.

    Dominic,
I tried the macro found at the link you provided. It worked fine on a sample workbook that I set up, but it doesn't work on my original. I think it's because the tabs are both numbered and alpha. LOL. BTW I downloaded the ultimate add-in from your website. It won't load to excel. I have XP office. Don't know if they are compatible or not. LOL. Thanks anyway.

    Hi eanderson

Don't know if they are compatible or not
It is compatible and will handle tab names with alpha and numeric characters.
You need to run the install program and make a note of where the files are extracted to.
Go to Tools > AddIns, Browse
Find the file UltimateAddIn.xla and click OK
Click OK in the Add-Ins dialog
You will now see a new menu items on your screen called Ultimate.

This will open every time Excel is opened until you cancel it from the Add-Ins dialog, or use Ultimate > Remove Ultimate Add-In.
