    Automatic Row Height Adjustment

    Hi

I am using Excel 2007. I have searched and have seen many questions relating to this but cannot find a specific answer.

In row 6 I have merged cells A-M.
I have 138 characters of text at font size 10 in Arial.
It is set to left justify
Each column is set at 4.40 width.
I have text wrap switched on.

There are 16 words on the first line and 6 words on the second line. There are no Alt-Return's within the text it is just one line of text.

What I want to happen is for the row height to automatically adjust to the text so all the text is visible. (It would be nice if it did this as I type - but that's another story!!)

When I click in the row header (just underneath the 6) it only shows the first line of text and I have to manually adjust the height for all the text to be visible.

Is there any way to adjust this automatically?

    Cheers

    Matt

My experience has always been that auto height adjustment does not work with merged cells. Any texts I have read that deal with merging cells always state that you should manually adjust the row height to suit the text in the merged cells.
