    Formating the cell values

I was wondering if there is a way to format certain cells so that when I put in a number the cell automatically adds 40% to that number (without having to put in a formula in that cell). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    You can do it otherway.
First enter all values in cells you want to enter then put 1.4 in any empty cell. Copy that cell and select the range where you have entered original values, right click and click Paste Special and check option Multiply and hit Ok.
All of the values in selected range will be turned to 40% more than the original.
