    vlookup

    how can i get the vlookup function to search a column of data with multiple entries of the target but reference against the last value in the searched column.

    Hi,

    a formula formerly supplied by daddylonglegs

    =LOOKUP(2,1/(A1:A100=A1),C1:C100)

    should solve your problem, adjust the ranges to suit.
