    Vlookup with an IF Statement

hi, i am trying to write an if statement with 2 vlookups but dont no where to start. What I would like is for the vlookup to look at 1 source and if this source shows the value 0 then it should go to the next vlookup otherwise it should use the figure from the first vlookup.

Hope that makes sense. If somebody could show me an example, would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Vlookup with an IF Statement

    =if(vlookup1=0,vlookup2,vlookup1)
    eg
    =IF(VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!A1:B127,2,FALSE)=0,VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!C1:D127,2,FALSE),VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!A1:B127,2,FALSE))
