Underlined and bolded text causes Excel to crash

I have this weird problem....any time I try to open an Excel file that has any underlined, bolded, or italicized font, Excel crashes. What can I do to fix this?

The problem started to occur when I would run a macro that added underlined text to certain cells, but now it happens all the time.

    Thanks in advance!

It sounds like when you open Excel is trying to unline all the cells, but instead of getting a message, like here

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/213904

it's causing it to crash. It may be worth trying this and replace your .xlb file (see bottom of page)
