    allowing pivot table to work

I am using excel 2000.. I need to have a work sheet protected... but a need a pivot table to be refreshed on a regular basis.... Even though the cells that the pivot table would update are not locked, I get the message that the pivot tabel cannot update on a protected sheet..

Maybe I am going about this wrong.... All I really need is to hide all formulas but have all other functions available...

    Please help!!!

    Thank you...

Perhaps the worksheet is protected. Click on Tools, Protection and see if there is an Unprotect worksheet option available.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

Sorry, I can't help any further. Perhaps someone more expert will come to your rescue.
