Exclamation Sorting data then adding one row to the next

Ok not an expert on excel at all and need a little help please.

I am creating a document where in one Column I have a name i.e. Monday, Tuesday, etc and next to that I have hours spent.

What I want to do is to query the number of Mondays for instance and add the number of hours in the next row. i.e. Mondays = 10 and there is a total of 50 hours. So it will pick out all the Mondays and add the hours next to them. This way I can have weeks and weeks and just pick out day by day.

Probably simple but i have got as far as =COUNTIF(B4:B21,"Monday") how to do the next bit.

    Thanks

    Larry
