    addresses

I have a list in Excel of 10,000 addresses that I've copied from the town's census list. I want to do a large mailing, but do not know how to do this? Right now, the addresses are set up in columns in Excel:

    A - Last Name
    B - First Name
    C - Middle Initial
    D - Street Number
    E - Street Name
    F - City
    G - State
    H - Zip

What is the best way for me to utilize this infomation to send out a mass mailing to the town introducing a new business in the area?

    Thanks, Pep

    Hi,

Use the Mail Merge Wizard in Word, and reference the worksheet on which you have the details as the data source.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

I have tried that, but the Wizard can't find the worksheet and it doesn't allow me to retrieve it manually. What extension should I save the worsheet in so the Wizard will recognize it?

I've NEVER used Excel before, so this is all new to me. I'm surprised I even figured out how to import the data into Excel and then modified it for what I needed. Now if I can only figure out how to use the info for what I want.

    Thanks, Pep

save the excel spreadsheet as usual, and then when you open the data sources window, change the files to all types.

Thanks, sweep, but I still couldn't figure it out using Office 2007 and the Wizard. I did figure it out using Word 8.

    Hi.
Why don't you try exporting it from Excel (Save As Tab delimited) or something else and then importing (opening) it back with Word, along with the text you want to mail.

    Regards
    Andres
