Ok what I'm trying to to is sum numbers in a column if value in the column to the left is in another range (column). e.g.

Sum value in column B if related value in column a is in column c

the list i am comparing to is quite long - far too long to do multiple sumifs(an answer from another thread)

Any ideas?
