subtotal, sum if

Hi
I am looking for a special function:
I have a big file with about ten column an 7000 rows.
I ve put a filter on it so that i can found out the data that i want, but on the top of this fileŽi ve creatde a quick overview of it: my problem is that i want to make the sum of numbers that are in the cell of a row only for the row that have the criteria that i needed, so i use sumif but when i then used the filter to found out something else the number wich ive found with the function sum if does not change.
I need a function which can mix sumif and subtotal(9)

Could you please post a sample of your wksheet ?

I think just subtotal function can do the trick. At the top you put =subtotal(9,A2:A5000) if you have data from row 2 to 5000.

When you filter the data, the subtotal value will change, based on your filter criteria.
