    to do what you are asking by macro rather than manually, you would either have to enter sufficient details to locate the item, or click on the item in April, trigger the macro, then locate the position for the item to go (it would mostly be the next month, but not guarenteed) which, with your sheetnames would require a table of sheets/months, and then trigger the second part to cause the paste.

    It looks much easier to simply Cut and Paste the whole line from Apr to Mar.

    but perhaps others have a better idea.

    Well thanks for the input. If anyone else has some sort of idea that might work I would be apreciative but if not no big deal. Thanks a lot for looking at it for me Bryan.
