Linking Tabs

I have a 'master' workbook that has a tab that I need referenced to within multiple other workbooks.

I don't want to link just specific cells mind you, I need to link the entire tab. I'm talking values, formatting, the whole thing.

Is there a way to accomplish this? Whenever the master workbook's tab is changed, I of course want to have the other workbooks tabs changed as well, so a simple copy of the tab or a simple link to the cells isn't enough.

Any help?

The best way I've thought of thus far is to duplicate the tab, set all cells to be linked, and then insert this newly created (and linked) tab into each workbook. The only problem with this is that if the master tab gets any kind of formatting changes, they aren't going to be updated on all the 'children' workbooks' linked tabs.

formatting cannot be linked by formulas. what you need is to do a paste special as format whenever you need to see the updated linked worksheets.
formula will only update the values, and to update formats copy the master sheet (whole) and select the linked worksheets, right click > Paste special > and check Formats.
it will update all formats.
