    Formulas?

I'm currently doing a formula to copy over data from sheet 1 to sheet 2. Currently I'm using =sheet1!j3 to copy the information onto sheet 2 d3. Then =sheet1!j4 for sheet2 d4, and so on. I have to do this for about 400 rows and will have to do it for other columns later. Is there a quicker way of doing it so I don't have to do this for each row. (As in a generic formula I can put in for the whole column)

yes change the formula to =sheet1!$j3 then copy the cell, then highlight cells in the colom you want them copied too, then right click past it will auto fill in the cells for you hope this helps

You don't have to manually insert the formula into each row..

    If you have

    =Sheet1!J3

in cell Sheet2!D3, and you want to get Sheet1!J4 into Sheet2!D4, and Sheet1!J5 into Sheet2!D5, etc., just fill that formula down as many rows as you need.

    To do so:

    1. Type the formula into D3 on Sheet2. Press Enter
    2. Place your mouse over the lower right corner of cell D3 and it should become a + sign.
    3. Click on that mark and drag down as many rows as you need, then release the mouse button.

To use this formula for other columns would be tricky - unless you always moved the same number of columns on Sheet2 as you did on Sheet1 (e.g. in E3 you want the value from Sheet1!K3, and in F3 you want the value in Sheet1:L3, etc.) If that's not the case, other formulas could be used and amended without too much difficulty.
