    Freezing panes?

    Hi,

I have a table in my sheet and want to fix the top row and the first column so when I scroll either down or accross the hedings for each column remain on the screen. I know there's an easy way of doing this but unfortunately can't get it done. I've tried freezing the panes but that doesn't work.

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thanks,

    Phil

Select cell b2 then freeze panes - this will freeze row 1 & column A

When freezing pane Excel freezes rows above and columns to the left of the selected cell
