Moving cells from vertical to horizontal

    Hi Guys

I have a ton of data I need to move that is sitting vertically at the mo. I need to move it so it sits horizontally. I know it can be done by dragging in some way because I have done it accidentally before. Now I actually need to do it tho I cant!! Typical...

So without cutting and pasting, how do I move data from this

    a
    ab

    to this

    a | ab |

    Many Thanks

    Pete

    Hi,

    This link may help

    http://www.techonthenet.com/excel/fo.../transpose.php

    or

Select the cells to transpose, Edit | Copy
Right-click on the upper-lefthand corner of a range of empty cells that can accommodate the transposed result.
Choose Paste Special and check the transpose checkbox
