    Question Filtering - Comparing Tables

Ok ... i am hoping someone can help me with this, i have been trying to figure it out for a while now but am stumped.
I have 2 files with the fields as below
    • account number
    • payment date
    • payment amount
what i am trying to do ... is find out what payments are missing from one list
there are multiple matches of account numbers on both files and matches of payment amounts ... so in essence i need to find out which payments i am missing from one file.

any help will be GREATLY appreciated ... cheers

    Shane

    Thanks

ok ... i have done that, but as i am comparing multiple values i then have to run additional conditional formulas to get my result.

i am greatful for the assistance and this does end up with the result i want ... but is there any shorter way of acheiving this???

    Cheers

I was just wondering ... as i have to run this function for every column seperately.... then run and "and" function on the results column to get my results i need.

"if" there was a shorter way would be good, but regardless i am happy and greatful for your assistance

    Cheers

It looks as if this comparison is a repetitive process ...
If it is the case, just turn on your macro recorder ...
    Go through your actual steps
VBA will code for you all your actions ...
and this macro will perform automatically this task for you in the future ...
