    I guess I do also have to inquire about this.

    I really need help. Hahaha. We have an exam on Excel in Wednesday and I already forgot the different formulae. Shucks. The pic was from a sample exercise.

    Hi,

    to do this you need to set the If to the highest range first, and then flow down through the remaining ranges, ie

    =If( cell-with-score >= 3.86 , " scl " , If( cell-with-score >= 3.71 , " mcl " , If(

    etc and do the other three settings.

    )or you could start at the bottom and work up)

    the 'collection' is of the form

    =CountIf( your-range-of-cells-from-above , "scl")

    and repeat for each category.
