searching for fixed width font?

Is there a fixed-width (monospace) font and preseves all spacing in Excel? I have an application where I need "."s and spaces " "s to take the same space as "M". I'm using text to draw pictures.

Courier & Courier New are two pretty standard fixed-width fonts most PC's come with.

Funny thing happened with my nifty new fixed-width (monospace) font from you guys (Courier New). In zoom 75% it is no longer fixed width. My application that uses text as graphics but requires fixed width and zoom would be helpful. Am I out of luck?

Try the font "Terminal"

I'm not sure if everyone has this font by default, but I just tested at 50/75/100/200 and 400% original size and they stayed fixed width.
