    Passwords

Is it possible to make certain password for each user of an excel program so that when they logged into the program (password prompt before excel would load the program) it would create a file with the user identity so one could monitor who is using the program? If so how?

    Thanks

    Re Passwords

I do know that Excel does know who is logged into the computer (if your computer/network is set up with different user id's). I think this information can be used in conjunction with running Visual Basic to access passwords for the users.

If you are using a shared workbook (Tools -> Protection -> Protect and Share with tracking), then excel will tell you which users made which changes and when they were made.
