Automatic Calculation:manual.

I recently had the need set calculation to manual. Now I can't get it back to automatic. I set it to automatic, save and close the file, but when I reopen it, it is back to manual. This happens on all my files.

Any thoughts???

PS If you just open an instance of excel, it opens but no longer presents a blank document. Not sure if that is related or not..

Well for those who may find this later, let me answer my own question: Navigate to this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel

There you will find one or more files that start with Excel with a number appended such as Excel11

I deleted this file and both issues cleared. If you decided to do this too, do so at your own risk as there may be other consequences of which I am not aware.
