    Read Write Access Restrictions

I am trying to post an excel spreadsheet to a shared drive so that others can use its functionality but cannot overwrite the raw data.

I have pivot functionality and lookups as well as formulas that I do not want changed.

How would I go about setting up specifc restrictions so that this can be done?

I have tried chaging the properties to read only but that does not seem to work.

    Thanks

You have to be a bit more specific with your requests.

Do you want people to ONLY be able to read it and make no changes? If so, you can set up a password that only allows them to open the file and not make changes.

Do you want people to only be able to modify certain info? If that is the case, you can protect the cells that you don't want modified
