    Macro for Creating Hyperlinks

How would I create a macro to convert a long list of filenames to URLs?

for instance, in column A I have:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\file1.xls
    C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\file2.xls
    C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\file3.xls
    C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\file4.xls
    C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\file5.xls
    C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\file6.xls

I want to keep these paths in tact but i want them to be hyperlinks and not just text.

    Thanks

    Good evening JoshuaSQ

Try downloading my add-in via the link below and going to Ultimate > Range > Hyperlink Tools.

    From the help file :
    Hyperlink Tools

The hyperlink tools option contains four tools for working with hyperlinks.

Delete Hyperlinks and Delete All Hyperlinks will remove hyperlink information from either all cells in a selected range, or all hyperlinks contained in the current workbook. The actual content of the cells will remain unchanged – just the hyperlink information and the link will be removed.

Extract URL requires two pieces of information, a source range and a destination range. Very simply, the utility will extract the URL (internet site “targets”) from the hyperlink in the source range, and place the URL as a text field in the destination range. The original hyperlinks will remain untouched.

Create quick hyperlinks will allow the quick entry of large numbers of hyperlinks. Input the destination range, the hyperlink text (which is what will be shown in the cell) and the hyperlink URL (the site to be linked to). When OK is selected the destination range will be filled with the required hyperlinks automatically.
