Worksheet- avoiding cells

I am creating a worksheet where I need to be able to tab only to certain cells leaving the other cells untouched. Is there a way to do this? Basically it is a script in which I need certain cells to be edited by the user of the worksheet, but to save time I want them to be able to tab only to the cells that they need to input information in. I can't seem to figure this out. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

For the cells for which you would like the user to use Tab to go to the next cell, go to Format > Cells, and uncheck Locked, then protect the sheet.
