Here are the repro steps:

1. I have two columns in the first worksheet
a. day (mon-sun),
b. date (1-1-07 to 12-31-07)
(these take up 366 rows total)

2. I copied columns A and B and then I went to the second spreadsheet and went to "paste special" > "paste link".

3. Now, that second worksheet has 65536 rows instead of only 366. I tried deleting the extra rows, but it's not working...

How can I get rid of these extra rows?

I'd appreciate any help - these extra rows are killing the file size.
Hi,

a spreadsheet has 65536 rows, if you select View - Page Break Mode you will not see them, but if empty they do not affect filesize.

To 'empty' the spare rows if you believe they are affecting filesize, in the Name Box (address window), put 340:65536 and press Enter, this selects those rows, then rightmouse and delete (as for normal row delete)
