    Unhappy Moving/Copying Worksheets

I am sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread but I have trawled through the forums and am unable to locate what I am looking for.

I have a problem when trying to consolidate 2 or more workbooks into 1. I right-mouse click on the tab and then use the move/copy function to move or copy the required worksheet. This works fine but everytime I save the changes and then try to exit Excel then it crashes and recovers. The problem is that if I have any other Excel sheets open which have not been saved then I lose all of my data. This happens every time that I use this procedure and my IT Department are at a loss. I have 512MB memory and run a Centrino Duo chip so I don' think that it is a resource problem.

Hope that this makes some sense. Please help!!!

    Hi,

my first thought is your .xlb file, but try the whole cleanup:

Do you have a Personal.xls file with a corrupt setting ?
Search on your harddrive for Personal.xls and, with Excel closed, remove it.

Have you somehow corrupted Excel's default settings?
Search on your harddrive for *.xlb and, with Excel closed remove it.

    Failing that, with Excel closed,
    Start, Run, Excel /unregserver
    then
    Start, Run, Excel /regserver

Let me know how you go.
