formula problems!

i have an excel spreadsheet that was provided to me from a vendor. it is a updated price list for a certain product line that i sell.

i am trying to combine 2 of the cells using =B2&" "&C2. it works if i enter the formula over and over again, but it will not let me drag it down with the black box in the lower right hand corner (it keeps copying the above cell). i have also tried with the CONCATENATE formula, but it still only copies the above cell. i was thinking i was doing the formulas wrong, but when i tried doing a price formula of (=F2*.56) it would also not let me drag it.

I do not have much experience, but i have done both of these formulas on other spreadsheets and they are working fine.

Is there something on the spreadsheet locked. I have gone to the Tools-Options-Edit and made sure that the "extend data range and formulas" box is checked. I have run out of options. Please help!

Are you saying you CAN drag the formula but it gives the same result in every cell?

Perhaps you have calculation set to manual. Press F9 to calculate

To set calculation to automatic

Tools > Options > Calculation > Automatic
