Is there a way that when an entry is made into one cell, an adjacent cell would complete with the current date.

I guess that it would have to be via a VB macro or possibly by a udf (would prefer the latter).

We receive monitoring sheets and record their receipt on a master control sheet - it would save a lot of time if, when they are recorded as received in one cell which is done by selecting "yes" from a dropdown, an adjacent cell would complete with the date which would then remain as that cells value.

Any ideas?
