    Print moves objects

I have a general question about objects moving when I print. I have 3 office computers using a bidding spreadsheet with multiple sheets and formulas as well as a number of checkboxes.

Two computers use Office 2003, one is using office XP(2002, ver 10.6501 SP3).

The Computer using Office XP is changing the position of the checkboxes when I print the file and then it "refreshes". The checkboxes are positioned in D18-25, E18-25, and I18-25, J18-25 and move in a uniform manner, staying in their row, but ending up at the right side of Column A squished together on top of each other!

I have check print options and margins and messed with opening different files and performing different tasks. Nothing changes when the sheet is Locked (no password), locked, with password, or just unprotected in general.

Any help in getting the objects NOT TO MOVE during print would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping it is just a version conflict and can be solved easily.

    Hello Heyguy16,

Are the checkboxes being moved on the printout or the Worksheet or both?

    Thanks,

    Both.

    Basically the process is:

    Open the file,
    Click print,
    Printout has moved boxes

when file "refreshes" after print, it also has moved boxes.

Even when using Print Preview, the preview looks "normal", no movement, but then when you click "close" on Print Preview, the checkboxes have moved.

Thanks for the help and quick reply!

    Hello Heyguy16,

I don't have an answer for you yet. Could you e-mail a copy of your workbook so I can run it on my XP computer? It will be much easier to troubleshoot doing this way. My e-mail is LeithRoss@aol.com. I'll post back what I find.

    Thanks,
    Leith Ross

    Re: Print moves objects

Eleven years later and this still has not been fixed.

I have multiple checkboxes that move up every time I print or print-preview the worksheet. I highlighted all the checkboxes and grouped them, and low and behold, they now stay put! Hopefully this works for others.
